Comfort Society

There's a Dog on my Quilt

The Comfort Society is a registered BC society and part of the Sunshine Coast Quilters Guild. We support the creation and distribution of quilts in the community and all members of our guild are members of the Comfort Society. Contact us

Since its inception, the Comfort Society has provided hundreds of quilts to individuals and organizations on the coast and sometimes further afield. In fact, since 2017, the cumulative recorded total is 1603 quilts! Most recently in 2023, our fabulous community of quilters created 196 more quilts, and 265 were gifted out to bring sunshine into so many lives.

Some of this year’s recipients include the Sechelt Hospital (Maternity & Gift Shop), Hopkins Hospital Auxiliary Bazaar, Community Services in Sechelt and Gibsons, Yew Transition House, School District 46, Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens Silent Auction, and several Ukrainian families that now call the Sunshine Coast home.

JOY THROUGH GIVING = CREATING MEMORIES FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY!
