Pojagi is an ancient Korean textile art form that is both beautiful and practical. A pojagi (or po) is a cloth that is suited to wrap , carry our store things. In this workshop, students will take a brief look at the history of the pojagi and some of the ways this technique is being used by contemporary artists.

Then participants get hands-on and learn the technique to make their own pojagi cloth. We will use semi transparent fabric for a window feature and cottons for a “sturdier” cloth. Our class will include both machine and hand sewing.
