Pojagi is an ancient Korean textile art form that is both beautiful and practical. A pojagi (or po) is a cloth that is suited to wrap , carry our store things. In this workshop, students will take a brief look at the history of the pojagi and some of the ways this technique is being used by contemporary artists. Then participants get hands-on and learn the technique to make their own pojagi cloth. We will use semi transparent fabric for a window feature and cottons for a “sturdier” cloth. Our class will include both machine and hand sewing. 9:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Bring your own lunch, green bag, and snacks. Coffee and tea provided.
